The Retreat
Solitude and quiet surround our private home, Eikeneset Herregaard, on a peninsula in Hardagnerfjord. From our private deep water dock and bathhouse sauna, you can see across the fjord to Folgefonna, the third largest glacier in Norway. Our Norwegian exploration will begin by plunging you into a whole new experience. Yoga, hiking, and fjord exploring will fill our days as we seek the epic without and within.

Transportation
Getting around in Norway.
The beauty of Norway is in the vastness of nature. The curves of the roads hug the edges of the mountains and the water, and you'll quickly understand that the journey is part of the experience.
Driving in Norway is simple. Its roads are well marked, and the speed limits slow. It's designed for you to savor its epic landscapes.
After considering all the options, we think that the best version of this retreat for you is for you to rent a car for the week of our retreat. It will give you the truly amazing experience of travelling in the country. It will also give you flexibility to explore further on the 3 days we don't have excursions scheduled.
Our base in Norway is 1.5 hours from the Bergen Airport, on well marked roads. Car rentals are available on site at the airport, with cars ranging from $300 to $500 for a week (more for premium cars). 4x4s will not be necessary.
However, if you prefer to have transportation arranged for you, we are offering a transportation add-on option. For an additional $400, we will arrange transportation for you for the week, including airport pickup and drop off. Please indicate your transportation choice on the retreat reservation form.
